Donnie Vick

Executive Producer

A classic entrepreneur, Donnie is a founding member of UcasTV. His efforts have been key in the development of the studio from conception to now. He has spent most of the last 12 years producing positive television programming. He is passionate about his work and it shows, receiving multiple awards including 14 national Tellys for producing and directing.

Donnie understands the need for positive uplifting television and video. His goal is to educate, entertain and tell the stories of all that is good. Donnie develops award winning programming and out of the home television networks.

Hugo Smith

Chief Technical Officer

Hugo serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for UcasTV Inc. In this role, he leads all aspects of UcasTV's Technology and Network Systems. In addition, Hugo supports the company with production, business development, and content delivery and sales.

Previous to joining UcasTV Hugo was the CTO at Sun Studios Productions. His responsibilities included managing the companies technology needs and creating high definition digital media delivery systems for healthcare facilities. Prior to this Hugo was the senior technology analyst for Consult-A-Nurse a multi service healthcare call center for (HCA) the Healthcare Corporation of America. In this role he managed network, phone, and database technologies while working with marketing directors to coordinate marketing campaign efforts across the call center, print, and Internet.

With a degree in Computer Programming / Systems Analysis and over 18 years in the Information Technology field Hugo provides UcasTV with the technical expertise needed to meet today’s advanced media challenges.

Scott Spence

Chief Financial Officer

Scott worked for advertising agencies in Indianapolis and Chicago for 21 years in the account service management arena. Broad responsibility of services for new business and creative development and the implementation of campaigns, promotions, public relations working as a Senior Account Executive for two fortune 500 companies since 1973.

He has worked in the finance arena to source equity partnerships for developments, create syndication groups for land acquisition and raise venture capital as co-equity partners in real estate partnerships.

With a marketing and finance background, he transitioned into broadcast production, marketing and program development and the coordination of film distribution for a series produced by a group of film makers, storytellers, and television producers. Along with research and film script development, he was responsible for film distribution nationally and internationally through the Discovery Network, PBS, and The Travel Channel. Scott’s diverse background brings creativity and financial value to the partnership.

Sean Schiavolin

VP of Production

Joining us from Austin, Texas, Sean may be quiet and easy going but his work speaks volumes! Graduating with a degree in Broadcast Production from Loyola University in New Orleans, Sean moved to Austin to work as a director at the Austin Music Network.

Winner of an award for Best Live Music Video Director and Editor, Sean moved on to team up with MediLive, a European Medical Production company. While there he worked on numerous projects, including a documentary on Jazz Organist, James Simpson, called “From the Heart”. Sean’s dedication is what makes him such a great asset to UcasTV.

Thomas R. Combs

VP of Network Programming

Tom is a veteran of the television and radio business for over 20 years. He is an AP award winning videographer, and has covered news around the world.

Tom joined the company seven years ago, and has been an essential part of our medical division. He produced over 2000 daily medical reports, as well as other hospital promotional videos. He was also essential in designing and implementing the launch of the Healthcare News Network, and now brings this expertise to the UHealth Television Network and the Healthcare Television Network.

His latest major project was producing Miley Cyrus : Life on the Road, a backstage documentary about Miley's Best of Both Worlds concert tour. He has also produced over 100 videos for Mileyworld.com.

When he has spare time, he enjoys spending time with his sons, Zac and Jake, and his wife Dawn.

Shawn Spence

Business Development

Shawn, an Indiana University graduate, has more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry. A renowned photographer, Shawn has worked with hospital executives and physicians on corporate publications, advertising campaigns and annual reports.

Throughout his career he has traveled to more than 20 countries and 49 states for various clients and has covered the White House, Capitol Hill and four Olympics. He has run a successful photography business for more than 15 years, and he understands the value of excellent communication and customer service.

Barry Lamb

Director of Commercial Business Development

With a Degree in Economics and Finance from Bates College in Lewiston Maine and Graduate coursework at Wake Forest University, Barry brings over 22 years of Sales and Financial Management experience to the organization, having previously worked for Chase Manhattan Bank in their Private Banking Portfolio Management Group and for the American Stock Exchange.

Recently he worked with a local financial group raising start up capital for small companies here in Southwest Florida. With his previous success in sales, and jovial personality, we welcome him as a valuable addition to the team to help guide our sales efforts in Healthcare Television Network moving into 2009.

During spare time he likes to fish, travel, and provide investment advice to friends.
